About TDAE Physical Therapy

Sara Thatcher, MSPT, CSCS

Director of Physical Therapy and Regenerative Services

Sara Thatcher has over 25 years of experience as a rehab professional and brings a unique approach to her practice.

We use a non-insurance based model which allows Sara to treat the whole body vs. focusing on individual parts. It usually takes one session to identify the root of the problem and establish a game plan to help your body feel better.

Services

Physical Therapy
At TD Athletes Edge we take the time to do a full evaluation including an assessment of flexibility, strength, body mechanics, and functional movement.  The initial evaluation will identify all of the red flags that exist. Part of the process will include finding solutions and connecting you with a treatment plan or other professionals to help meet your goals. Each session will consist of one-on-one treatment focused on building a toolbox that will allow you to manage your pain as we work together to help get your body back.

Laser Therapy

Laser Therapy uses light to increase the activity within the cells and produce therapeutic effects by reducing inflammation and increasing circulation. Laser Therapy helps to enhance your body's natural healing power by stimulating a cellular response and increasing oxygenation of the tissue. Patients generally see results after 3-6 treatments. Each session normally take 6-12 minutes.

Shockwave Therapy

Shockwave Therapy uses sound waves to break up soft tissue calcifications, enhance collagen synthesis, reduce pain and stimulate the body's natural healing process.  Shockwave therapy enhances circulation and accelerates healing of chronic musculoskeletal conditions.  Patients generally see results after 2-4 treatments. Each session normally last 5-10 minutes.

Testimonials

"Sara Thatcher is the real deal. Her skills as a therapist and healer are only matched by her kindness and integrity." - Erik Hajer Award-winning trainer, Life Coach, Author

"Being a massage therapist I want the best for all of my clients.   I know I'm giving them the best care by referring to Sara.  She is an outstanding physical therapist!!  She isn't just a physical therapist that relies on modalities and exercises.  She has a hands on approach to the patient.  She does a lot of her own muscle work and really takes the time to evaluate and treat her patients in a timely manner.  Sara also has incredible compassion and a great approach for all her patents.  She is the number one physical therapist of my choice to refer to, because I know they will get the best care possible." - Darcy Gilbo LCMT, Integrative Muscular Therapy, Marblehead MA

A few words from clients:

"You are a gem in the midst of thousands of just average, go through the motion PTs. I am so fortunate. Thanks so much from the bottom of my back." - Charlie

"Sara is the best.  As an older athlete with scoliosis and chronic injuries, I wasn’t sure if I could ever run again.  I was considering doing an Ironman, but didn’t know if my body would hold up for the event itself, let alone the training.  With Sara’s treatment and support, I am not only running again, but I have completed 2 Ironman races, 3 Half Ironman races, and qualified to run the 2019 Boston Marathon in my first ever Marathon!  I could not do this without Sara’s ongoing support! " - Jan

"I hadn’t run in almost 20 years due to chronic Achilles issues.  To be honest, I never really liked running anyway.  But, I wanted to do an Ironman.  I met with Sara for an evaluation.  Not only did Sara say that I could run, she said I could actually do the training and run the marathon at the end of the Ironman.  She was right!  After working with Sara, I have completed Ironman Mt. Tremblant, Ironman Lake Placid, three 70.3’s (Quassy twice and Patriot), and run the Providence Marathon.  I am now training to run Boston 2019.  Thanks to Sara’s help, I actually enjoy running! " - Jim
