My name is Brian and I’m excited to be joining the team at TD Athletes Edge!  Since the time I could walk, sports have been a part of my life.  I have always been extremely passionate about baseball, but played every sport I could growing up.  During high school, I had a coach introduce me to the world of exercise science, which opened my eyes to the physics and biology of sports and exercise.

This helped me learn how to properly use my body to get the most out of it that I could.  I decided that Exercise Science was something I wanted to pursue and continue learning about, not only for my own endeavors as an athlete but eventually as a career in order to help others reach their own goals.

I decided to attend Salem State University where I received my undergrad degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Human Biology, while also playing on the baseball team as a relief pitcher.  After graduating from Salem State, I attended Merrimack College to earn my Master’s degree, also in Exercise Science.   While there I joined the coaching staff of the baseball team, assisting during their first full season as a Division 1 program.

Upon completing my degrees, I began to work as a Strength & Conditioning Coach, working with adult clients as well as high school athletes, mainly rotational athletes such as golfers and (of course) baseball players.  This experience gave me the opportunity to work with a population that presented me with many different challenges that allowed me to continue to grow and learn as a coach.   I have since become a high school baseball coach at Manchester-Essex High School, and continue to coach pitchers at various camps and clinics throughout the offseason.

Outside the gym, you can most likely find me coaching, playing, or watching baseball, or cooking a delicious meal for friends and family.  I also love a good beach day in the summer!
