It's not good enough to work hard in the offseason. You need to work hard on the right stuff:
1️⃣ Sport Skill Development: Sport skill is what you'll need to advance. Skill development requires ruthless repetition. Make this a priority in your offseason.
2️⃣ Training For Durability: I see people trying different training methods in the offseason. Be careful with going overboard with workouts that look cool. Things like yoga, kickboxing classes, or spinning are great to mix up the monotony from time to time, but nothing can replace progressive resistance training in the weight room. Make lifting heavy stuff the right way an offseason priority.
3️⃣ Sleep: Your body heals itself when you sleep. It's the ultimate recovery and growth strategy. Sleep is when you turn your hard work on skill development and weight room strength into results. It needs to be an offseason priority.
